where are you based?

cotswold have their 'rock bottom' store in Betws which have their clearance stuff.

Ellis Brigham also have a clearance store up that way somewhere, but can't remember exactly where.

I guess it's just a case of having a search on all the 'usual suspects' for bargains. Guess it could help if you've already tried on lots of boots and know exactly which ones you want, then that way you can buy online knowing what arrives will fit.

cheers

Nikki

Hi Nikki n thanks for your reply.I`m in Wingate,Co.Durham! I get the impression there aren`t so many bargains in "winter"boots from the usual suspects i`ve looked at....Tiso,Lakeland stores ect......we`ve a great little retail outlet park up here where i picked up a Mera Peak for £95 !! Shame they dont sell winter boots haha. I dont know what`ll fit my feet exactly.....am using Raichles at the mo but feel they are just slightly to narrow! Scarpa,Asolo n La Sportive have caught my eye but there must be good but less high profile boots out there somewhere.......i`ve even been checking out ebay but there`s nothing in my size!

aye,

I guess if you can wait the onset of spring and melting of the snow is the time to get bargains on winter boots. Doesn't get you any boots for this winter though. Sad
